Nearly Thirty Years, One Family Story

The Story of Forex World Starts Well Before 1997.

Two brands, one family, and one promise that hasn't changed since 1983. Before Forex World ever processed a single transfer, three generations of the same family were already building something worth trusting.

Proof, Not Just a Promise

A story is only as good as what backs it up. Before you read how Forex World began, here's what nearly three decades of that story has actually built.

Established 2003

Forex World established in Australia under founding Directors Enrique Campos and Enrique Campos Jr.

Remittance Since 2004

First Forex World remittance processed on 1 July 2004.

A Family Built on Enterprise

Entrepreneurship runs generations deep in the Campos family. Long before Forex, earlier generations made their way from Spain to the Philippines, building businesses and a life there. That spirit of enterprise and hard work passed from generation to generation.

Before Forex existed in Australia, the family ran Topace Pty Ltd, an import/export business established in the early 1990s, which gave the family warehouse experience, import and export knowledge, and operational grounding that would matter more than anyone realised at the time.

1983: Forex USA Begins

Forex began operations in the USA in 1983 with a two-person staff in Washington DC, established by the Carino family. It was the first non-bank entity approved and recognised by the Central Bank of the Philippines, a responsibility the business has never taken lightly.

From that small beginning, Forex grew into the number one door-to-door company in the USA, and eventually a world leader in door-to-door service to the Philippines.

1997: Forex Comes to Australia

Forex Australia was founded in July 1997 by the late Mrs Ines C. Campos and her husband Enrique Campos, a Proprietary Limited company built for one purpose: looking after expatriate Filipinos far from home. Cargo services launched first, connecting Filipino-Australian families with balikbayan boxes home to the Philippines.

2004: Remittance Joins the Family

Following extensive research into international remittance operations and meetings with major Philippine banks, Forex World commenced its remittance service in 2004. The first Forex World remittance transaction was processed on 1 July 2004.

From the beginning, the service was built around established banking relationships, careful transaction processing and reliable distribution in the Philippines. Those relationships and capabilities have continued to develop as the business has grown.

Forex World began as a highly human-assisted service: customers deposited funds, phoned in their instructions, and staff encoded and confirmed every transaction by hand.

2016: A Name of Our Own

As the cargo and remittance businesses continued to grow, Forex Cargo and Forex World developed increasingly distinct brand identities, allowing each service to communicate more clearly with its customers while remaining connected through their shared family heritage. The visual identity stayed connected, deliberately, with a shared colour scheme, family resemblance, and the same tagline: We Deliver Love.

Different services. Clearer identities. Same Forex family.

What Guided Us From the Start

A business doesn't earn nearly thirty years of trust by accident. Four simple principles guided Forex from a two-person office in Washington DC to the company families still choose to send their money home with today.

Work Hard

Nothing about building trust from nothing happens by accident.

Keep Your Word

If we say we'll do something, we do it, every time.

Look After People

Every customer, every time, not just when it's convenient.

Never Forget

The trust a customer places in us is never taken lightly.

What Nearly Thirty Years Actually Gives You

History on its own doesn't move money any faster than a brand-new competitor could. Here's what nearly three decades of it actually means in practice, for the person sending the transfer today.

  • Stability: A business that has weathered nearly three decades of change without losing its family ownership.

  • Real relationships: Systems and partnerships built through direct meetings with Philippine banks, not signed sight unseen.

  • Generational trust: A brand your parents, or their parents, may already have trusted before you did.

  • Staying power: A promise that has outlasted three decades of competitors coming and going.

Meet the People Behind the Story

The story continues with the people who built it, and the team who carry it forward today.
